loupe — the template model

Three axes: how many works show at once, does the order matter, and is their placement on the screen custom or automatic? This is what an artist chooses when they start a gallery, and they are questions they can answer about their own work in five seconds. Five treatment dials sit inside whichever family was chosen, and any family can wear them all.

That split is the whole point. “Which template?” used to do both jobs at once, and welding them together produced fifteen names for three ideas — it would have produced forty-five once the grid and the sheet arrived. The fifteen presets below are doors, not rooms: each sets several dials and names the combination, and every dial stays yours to turn afterwards.

The wall label follows: title, medium, dimensions, year — once you add each work’s record.
